Interesting class that should appeal to anyone with an interest in pure math. Grade is based on weekly homework, two large projects and a few exams so nobody leaves the class without a decent understanding of the content
Study the theory of linear transformations, vector spaces and related topics with an emphasis on writing proofs and a few real-world applications. Good stepping stone into abstract algebra
Professor was very accommodating, he clearly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Posted all lectures and class materials online, did a thorough review before each exam, and curved the tests
If possible, take bridge to abstract mathematics before linear algebra. For the first few weeks, I found it very difficult to do the proof-based homework problems because I hadn’t had experience with proof writing before
