Comments on the course
Good course that prepares you well for further statistics theory within a math background. Pretty heavy on proofs and understanding how things are derived, but problems are just applications of course content.
Course Content
Probability functions, probability transformations, counting methods, both discrete and continuous random variables as well as the probability distributions relating to these variables. You will need to use R to simulate and solve problems. Textbook is required for exams.
Comments on the professor
Good lectures, but difficult to reach. Basically makes you feel like you are wasting his time despite only holding 20-minute office hour sessions.
Exam Heavy
