Comments on the course

I enjoyed this class more than I initially thought I would. Professor Dalshiem is witty and straight to the point. I am excited to take another class with her. If you love having open class discussions and are opinionated, take this class. If you are a rule follower do not take this class. what was most interesting about this class was that you did not see grades till the end of the semester. Do the assignments and do the reading before class. be prepared to participate and voice your opinions based on reading ETC.

Course Content

I truly enjoyed having open discussions about real world issues. Many different topics were discussed, including Palestine/Israel, Native Americans, and America pre-liberation. Colonization, peace, conflict. I really enjoyed the class. Reading is not easy, I had a hard time at first and got used to the readings assigned.

Comments on the professor

Dr. Dalshiem is pretty cool. I loved that she was relaxed and laid back. As I said most students who are too worried about grades will not enjoy the class as much, for me I trusted that as long as I did my portion that I will receive a good grade which I did. Be ready to have your opnions challenged, your voice heard, and your patience tested.

Advice

ACTUALLY DO THE READINGS, DO WEEKLY READING RESPONSE ON CANVAS, do not get offended when your opnions are questioned, and voice your truth.
