I constantly felt challenged and a bit behind throughout the course but in a way that made me strive to be better. I wish weeks 1-2 had more citations so I hadn't struggled with it later in the course but overall this course is informative and constructive.
The class relies on citations for the earlier weeks. The mid to later weeks focus on ability to read through cases and make the proper assessments asked of you through critical thinking. I would suggest taking a basic law information class like Law 101 before this class so you understand how to use the tools (mostly WestLaw) and terms.
The professor was the definition of professional. I did email her up to three times on specific problems or questions i had understanding. Every time she answered me in a way that helped me learn and improve without outright giving me the answer so that i could perform the task with ease.
Don't take another research heavy class with this one unless it is extremely similar. I took Mass media with this class. This combo was doable but not preferable. Take a 100 or 200 class with this if you can. It does have a lot of writing and though provoking subjects in it that require a lot of attention to detail when researching. Also take after the LIBS (research) course. you will need those methods.
