1. The instructor is often emotional and treats certain students differently, especially Asian students (I am not Asian). She has yelled at students in class and sometimes refused to answer their questions. 2. In the second half of the course, we spent a lot of time on her chosen readings and videos. She tested very specific details from them every week. I don't think this is related to learning English at all. A large amount of time was spent rote-memorizing redundant names, dates, places, and events from the readings. Very unnecessary. 3. I know people have different ideas about how to improve English, but personally I felt I was just wasting time and energy in this class without any real improvement.
