For a 3 hour morning class, it was fantastic. No textbook required as all the readings are posted to UMLearn.

It's an introduction to the foundational theories of International Relations, and how they can be applied to the world today. Expect multiple papers varying in length, proficiency in writing will get you very far. Also expect different kinds of papers rather than your standard find a topic and roll with it, for this semester we had to do a film review and apply one of the IR theories to it. This class is a necessity if you plan on taking any future courses in the Defence/Strategic Studies sector.

Bryce is hands down a 5 out of 5 professor, extremely knowledgeable, ultra accessible outside of class, replies to emails very fast, and runs a class where you stay attentive even though it's a 3 hour class. Take a course with him if you get the chance.

Be prepared to write papers, take notes, and ask questions. Don't be afraid to raise your hand with this professor!
