Comments on the course

Overall good class. A formal introduction to mathematical statistics and probability, setting up a foundation for more advanced and interesting concepts and applications.

Course Content

Learned about combinatorics (some), discrete and continuous probability, probability distributions, random variables. Implements calculus concepts into probability/stats.

Comments on the professor

Good professor overall. New to UF this semester. Exam averages were higher than those of other professors historically. However, course setup in Canvas was bare minimum and it was difficult to stay up to speed without attending lectures (no Zoom or recordings for the most part).

Advice

Attend class. Be timely. Ask questions.
