Prof: Oliver Grundmann / Spring 2025
May 5, 2025
The class was well organized and predictable in terms of what was expected for each module. There are quizzes, discussions, and assignments. Quizzes are based on module content and the discussions and assignments require thorough research.
Each module goes into detail about the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, mechanism, abuse, tolerance, and withdrawals of the different drug classifications. Each module goes in depth about the drug class and uses various drugs as examples. I felt I had a great understanding of the drug classifications after taking this class.
Professor Grundmann is very knowledgeable and explains the content well. It was helpful that he provided recorded PPT lectures to supplement the module content for a better understanding. I did not interact much with the professor but he seems to be very fair and understanding.
I was expecting the course to be more chemistry related, but instead I learned a lot about drug pharmacology and interaction with the body. The rubrics were vague so I tried to write as much as I could to not leave any detail out.
