I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in the field of forestry. This course was very involved and there are a lot of concepts to grasp, but it supplied me with hands-on and conceptual knowledge of silvicultural practices. You will definitely have to work for an "A", but you will thank yourself for taking this class!

You will everything from forest genetics and conceptual measures of forest productivity, to the proper machines and herbicides you need for site preparation! I now work on a southern pine plantation and use information I learned from this class all the time.

Dr. Vogel is very approachable and enthusiastic about the subject. He highly values participation, so I recommend completing the readings/review the lectures before class if you want to stand out!
