This class is super informative and Dr. Patterson is extremely smart and well-educated on fish. I wouldn’t say it is easy, but an A is possible and the material is easy to be fascinated by. I’d really like to be an ichthyologist after taking this class.

Everything fish: anatomy, physiology, population dynamics, fisheries, life histories.

Dr. Patterson is brilliant and approachable. He also has a good sense of humor so the class isn’t too dry.

If you can make time for it, find the answers to the review questions in the text book before lecture. Then fill in what you didn’t know during lecture. The lectures are dense and move fast, so if you’re familiar with the material they’re easier to digest.
