This is a hard class, the collection requirement is A LOT. However, this is some of the most fun I've had. Maybe I'm a bug nerd (I'm not an ento major though) but there is something so satisfying about seeing a daunting amount of content and coming to master it.

You will learn the most common / recognizable families of almost all of the insect orders. REMEMBER THEM! STUDY! Both of your exams require you to have an insane amount of families (be able to sight-ID and spell the names correctly). When you learn new families, be prepared for a pop quiz the next class period. You will have to sight-ID 5 of the specimens you learned last class.

I loved Dr. Lucky tbh. I didn't think she liked me at first, she was lowkey intimidating, but now I love her and I thinkkkk she loves me too.

A lot of people start collecting before they start the class (for the 100 families collection requirement), I didn't do this. Collect a TON, pin, identify, and keep on top of your work? You'll be okay.
