I feel like I did not need this course for what I intended to do for a job in the future, but the information was useful.
There are about 2 online lecture videos a week with one quiz due at the end of the week. The workload is very light as long as you keep up with the lectures and quizzes, which don't take that much time.
Professor Knight is one of the best professors I have had so far at UF. He does a great job at explaining the concepts and following up with real life examples that make them easier to understand.
If you're scared to take this class because you have never taken macroeconomics or microeconomics before, don't be. I found that the best way to complete this course is my actually watching the lectures and taking notes, NOT using study edge. Students who used study edge did worse on the exams than the students who actually just learned the material.

the class is set up for success as long as you keep up with the assignments and do the module reading as some questions on quizzes or exams are derived straight from the book.
dr. knight is amazing. he gives a lot of on the spot examples to help further your understanding of the topics.
pay closer attention to the lecture videos and do the module readings

Great course and great professor.
This course covers the basics of macroeconomics. The first exam covers the basics of microeconomics like supply and demand and their shifters. I highly recommend taking microeconomics before this class.
Dr. Knight makes lectures engaging with real world examples. Sometimes he can go a little off track with personal stories or tangents generally related to economics, but it keeps the 2 hour block from being mundane. I'd recommend him and this course to any student.
Watch his lectures on a weekly basis, take general notes, and use StudyEdge if you already have it for another class. Their reviews and quiz/SWA supplements really help condense what you learn in lectures. Don't be afraid to use your notecard! If there is a concept you don't understand or a question you keep getting wrong, write it all out on your notecard. Also, take practice exams after you've made your notecard so you can get familiar with working with your notecard within the exam window (almost 2 hours). Good luck, you'll be good!

Honestly not too bad, just keep up with the lectures.
The content itself isn't too bad as long as you watch the lectures and keep up to date on everything. It's about two lectures a week along with a quiz and a short writing assignment that alternates every other week. Everything is pretty easy to grasp in regards to the content itself.
Really personable. I loved his teaching style which seems to integrate the students he's live lecturing to with the material. I think i would have struggled a lot more if he wasn't the one teaching it.
The textbook is useful but definitely not necessary, just make sure to do the weekly practice problems before doing the quizzes and you should get 90+ on each one.

This course is not bad. As long as you pay attention this man will teach you everything you need to know about this class. I wish all of my courses were like this.
I am an accounting major and I personally found this course useful.
This dude is awesome. Literally one of the best professors I've had. He works on his class every year to make it better and truly listens to students.
PAY ATTENTION. The only reason you get below a B in this class is if you don't keep up with lectures and assignments. I went to like every other lecture and did all exam reviews and did fine. He is a great teacher if you are a great student.

This class was very well taught. I didn't put near as much work into it as I should have. I definitely could have gotten an A if I had taken time to read the modules.
There are lectures, weekly homework assignments, quizzes, exams, and a few writing assignments that are not too bad.
Professor Knight is still one of the best professors I've ever had. He is an amazing lecturer and genuinely cares about the quality of his class more than any other professor I've had.
Read the modules! I thought I could get away with not reading them, but there are always a couple exam questions that are straight out of the textbook.

Fun experience as far as college classes go, not too much work either.
Useful stuff you'll use in real life.
Very good, his lectures are thorough and enough to get you good grades on the exams.
Don't overthink the exam questions, they're not meant to trip you up.
Knight, he's a great guy and teacher.
