Prof: Chelsea Cantrell / Summer 2025
Feb 15, 2026
While I took this class in the Summer, it is still one of those classes that you dedicate more time to because animation takes time. It is mostly easy, but you'll need some drawing/art skills. It's okay if you have less artistic skill, you just need to dedicate more time to completing assignments.
You learn 12 principles of animation, and apply it to the various assignments like bouncing ball, bean bag, and of course, your final project which is an animation of your original character doing something.
Very enthusiastic professor that will answer any questions you may have. Grades a little slow, so use office hours if you're unsure about how you will do, but usually grades leniently as long as you put in the effort.

Prof: Chelsea Cantrell / Spring 2022

This class is fun, sometimes challenging and rewarding.
All semester you are learning how to use Toon Boom Harmony Premium, and the big project in this class is making your own 15 second animation.
Cantrell is sweet and spends a lot of her time in office hours to help students.
You will need Toon Boom Harmony Premium which is only about $18.40 a month.
