Comments on the course

I like creative writing so I enjoyed this course (though I wish I could’ve written more stories). The lectures were once a week for three hours which was sometimes rough to sit through, but for the most part was okay. Even though there is a lot of writing, it is easy to get an A as long as you’re doing what the professor says and following the rubrics and such. I’m pretty sure just about everyone in the class ended with an A, and she provides good feedback.

Comments on the professor

Professor Kwadey was chill, funny, loved to talk, and made the class more enjoyable. Emphasis on the talking aspect, because a lot of the in person classes would be filled by talking about random stuff but it kept it humorous in a way. She also gave good and clear feedback on writing assignments, and was lenient on some things here and there. Also attendance was mandatory so don’t miss class.

Advice

Don’t do your writing last minute, especially your story that you write or the final portfolio. This class is likely one of the easier ones out of the other writing credit options, so I recommend (especially if you like creative writing)
