You either go straight to Organic 1 or back to Gen Chem. This class is what Dr. Kleiman referred to as "Gen Chem on steroids." It's challenging, and most of the stuff is novel, but looking back, it was pretty relevant to the material in Orgo 1.

Dr. Kleiman knows what she's talking about and is very knowledgeable, but her accent sometimes makes it slightly difficult to understand some things.

Go to office hours. You will not complete/get good grades on the homework without the TAs and other students during office hours (unless you're some sort of chemistry genius). Early lectures and weekly homework assignments will be very time-consuming, so just be prepared for a lack of sleep. As long as you put in the work, you will most likely end up with an A.

pain but i had straight 70s on the homework and still got an A. Not sure what that says about the class though.

Lots of math and quantum stuff compared to most genchem classes.
