The class isn't terrible if you get a good TA. The material is relevant to BSC2010 but can sometimes be more intensive. This was different from most labs I have taken but manageable. This class is very disorganized and gave me more headaches than I can count. Canvas doesn't organize assignments or give accurate due dates of assignments. There are no rubrics for grading and quizzes are subjective to the TA.

The class was broken up into weekly labs where we had to complete a pre-lab prior to class and submit lab notes by the end of class. The Lab Manual is necessary for this. The TAs make individual quizzes for their sections and can make them very hard or very easy. It is a matter of chance if you get an easier TA. My TA wasn't terribly hard but the quizzes were very niche.

TAs are the only teacher you have in this course and do everything from experiments to grading.

You have to stay on top of communication with your TA in order to succeed. Ask them what information will be covered on the weekly quizzes and really pay attention in lab periods because they will ask questions about your lab procedures. There is also a research project you do with a partner that is pretty easy and shouldn't be a lot of trouble.
