The class sucks but it's a gen ed. Supposed to be easy except when your ta is EMMA DENNISON. If EMMA DENNISON is your ta I urge you to drop before add/drop and take it a different term. Grading extremely hard for no reason while all my friends taking the class were consistently getting 100's on every assignment. I am not taking less than an A in this class when it's supposed to be an easy A.

Oh My God, i hated this course. Its called art appreciation but it made me hate art. I did very poorly on multiple assignments because I couldn't explain or expressive the meaning enough. I never BS no much in my life and it was hard to get an A because the grader always had a problem. Also the "art" pieces that we looked over, were so dumb sometimes that idk how people see it as art. There was this one lady that poured paint in her hair and started to drag it on the floor. That isn't art, that's just a crazy lady going insane. My GPA going to drop because of this course like bro c'mon now. This course was boring and i did not look forward to it at all. I spend so much time trying to write good essays/discussion post for just to get an F or D on it.

If you like art or and thinking critically good enough to please the grader then this course will be fine, but I think that I just got unlucky.

Super easy course. Including time spent on projects, I spent about three to five hours a week on lectures and homework.

Talks about the basics of art and apply's that knowledge to different contexts.

The TA's do the grading, but online lectures are done by the professor. The information is taught in a very straightforward way.

It's super easy. Surprisingly, there were people who did not do well in this class, but that was because they didn't do the work. If you do the work, you will get an A. It's not a hard class.
