Comments on the course

COVID19 online so who knows if my rating will hold up to how it is now. It was a snoozefest to me because I can't stand plant bio and that's practically all I can remember learning. Well taught though, just kind of boring. The lab was in person a few times, and the squid dissection was gross but the beetle experiment was awesome. It was terrifying to work with his beetles. I didn't want to hurt them and if I remember correctly one of my classmates killed theirs by accident. Unsure who it was but we lost one. Great lab report during the last part of the semester for us. I found that awesome because I really like writing lab reports.

Course Content

Very useful course, we did a lot of evolution lessons and plant bio. You will probably know the layout of the course if you take 1107 with him. Exams were tough but that's normal

Comments on the professor

Same as 1107, Trumbo is a super great dude. Lectures are info heavy but he's open to almost any questions. Lab professors are amazing and I cannot speak enough about how much these professors care about their students. I almost fainted during the squid lab (my own health issues acting up) and didn't want to admit that to MJ but she noticed I guess and we ended up having a nice conversation. She made sure I was alright and asked if I needed to sit or take a break.

Advice

I myself couldn't attend most lectures due to family issues. I wish I'd known this ahead of time so I could've done something about it. STUDY FOR ALL EXAMS. They aren't as bad if you do
