Prof: Dr. Nader / Fall 2019

Dec 21, 2020

Comments on the course

As someone who is majoring in Civil engineering, this class is pretty useless. The material hasn't popped up again in future course. Added on to that, Dr. Nader isn't the best teacher and the online book/homework was dense and confusing. He is a bit better in office hours, but I stilled purely relied on SARC and youtube to do well in the class. Good luck

Advice

Go to SARC. They're are the main reason why I was able to get an A in the class.

Prof: Nader / Spring 2018

Dec 21, 2020

Comments on the course

You either lover Nader or hate him. The material is two steps past statics and it's easy to fall behind. A lot of the material builds on previous material. At least in 2018 and 2019, Nader did a "Best 2 of 3" format for his tests. So get A's on the first two, and you can more or less skip the third and it'll just count the first two. There was no project like there was with statics.

Advice

If you can do awesome on the first two tests so you don't have to worry about the third. If you do, the third test seems to be easier anyway. The textbook is useful if you're not understanding the material how he presents it in lecture or online. There's plenty of YouTube channels that explain the material even better. Don't take Nader in summer.
