Comments on the course

I really enjoyed the class. So long as you keep up with lectures you'll be fine. He answers emails even when it's close to due. There's 2 major assignments that both use what he's taught so far. Then labs focusing on a specific new Javscript tool he taught the prior class. And 5 question quizes every week based on the textbook. He goes over some very basic HTML and CSS to set you up for Javascript, but it helped me a lot knowing HTML and CSS well, before starting the course.

Advice

Make sure you attend classes here, especially the first several weeks. This is a core class for Web Design majors and you're really going to need this material for future courses. If you're taking this as an elective, you could definitely skip the last few weeks of classes and some labs and still pass, that's what I did.
