Comments on the course

Hard course. Study lots and be prepared for the quizzes and exams. Always start studying early because you won't have enough time if you wait. Was given 5 quizzes worth 50% of final grade and a final worth 50% of final grade. Very brutal.

Course Content

Lots of engineering math. Useful but hard

Comments on the professor

Yousry Elsabrouty is a good prof because he passes almost everyone except cheaters or people who literally do nothing. That being said, his speech when he is teaching is hard to understand. You can tell he is passionate about math. Sometimes makes jokes. Kind of slow with his notes but always gives good pointers in class for what will be on the exams and quizzes. He did mess up our final exam with 2 questions being impossible to solve so that kinda sucked.

Advice

Review the online notes before you go to class. It will help you understand the class way more.

Comments on the course

Differential equations is very different from normal calc. It requires a lot of memorization of different methods of solving equations. Luckily, in online school we are allowed access to our notes. But also because of the rampant cheating on the midterm, the final was impossibly hard. The best students and even cheaters couldn't score above 80% and most people failed. It's a hard course all around but if you practice a lot then you'll do fine.
