Comments on the course

The course is unrealistic and does not cover the actual material tested in a digestible way. The course is mostly read about it and figure it out. The group assignments do not give enough time to produce a quality assignment of any sort and makes no room for realistically working professionals taking the course. Exams are brutal even for someone who studied and tries and the course seems to take pride in being overly difficult which is a bummer.

Course Content

Financial policy and theory, annuities and perpetuities, interest rates, mortgage payments, loans, stocks, etc.

Comments on the professor

The professor is nice and very knowledgeable but spends almost as much time explaining that the course difficulty isn't his fault and comes from leadership as he does on material. He is very knowledgeable and does try but often explains in a way not all students can follow making it extra difficult to understand the concepts.

Advice

The course is almost too much to take with another course if you intend to try to do well. Be prepared to buckle down and clear schedules for group projects as they have very unrealistic timelines, the mylabs and practice materials don't match up to the exams. The horror stories are true but the professor knows this and does try dispite the difficult content. Overall, be careful what your course load is when you take this.
