Comments on the course

I personally loved this course. It gives a nice and smooth flow from DSCI100 and STAT201.

Course Content

The content in this course is very interesting and useful. Mainly focuses on linear, logistic, poisson regression analysis and evaluate those model that we create.

Comments on the professor

The prof explained the content fairly well and was very engaging during lectures. However, she tends to be late to post worksheets and tutorials for the week which was a bit frustrating.

Advice

Make sure to make a good cheatsheet for the exam.

Comments on the course

has a project like stat 201. not a super hard class. Has some preclass readings. The code in the assignments can be uncooperative but that's on the person who made the assignments (which isn't the prof)

Course Content

linear regression, model selection, train/test set

Comments on the professor

covered stuff that was needed. helpful on piazza. made occasional jokes. does have an accent so it depends on you if you can understand what he's saying.

Advice

In person attendance is needed since you'll sit with your group members

Comments on the course

Was in the first class and so some of the assignments were unpolished. Otherwise identical in style to dsci 100 and stat 201. Though the topics are much more interesting and deals with actually thinking about how to apply the correct model rather than just a simple automated statistical result. Also has a project.
