Comments on the course

Michael Griffin is one of the most passionate and engaging professors at UBC. Had an awesome time learning with him! Very approachable and friendly. His theatrics during his one monologue will be a memory of my undergrad.

Advice

As writing is a large part of the assessment, do seek advice from him and TA's or the Philosophy department on how to approach the big papers.

Great class. Do seek assistance with writing though, since that’s all of the assessment (or most, I guess). If you’re not super comfortable with the philosophical style, I recommend talking to Dr. Griffin (who is very approachable) or his TAs. Ask them for writing tips and they can point you in the right direction.

Comments on the course

Definitely my favourite course of this semester! It has been rough starting out as a first year with online courses but Dr. Micheal Griffin put so much effort into each lecture, making an engaging format and radiating genuine passion. The man has a lute! What more can you ask for?

Advice

Do the readings and keep up with the weekly discussion posts~
