Prof: Neda Todorovic / Fall 2020

Comments on the course

Neda's passionate, but her lectures were pretty dry for online. The videos she linked were pretty engaging tho if you're interested in ling. The weekly quizzes were annoying because the readings could get unnecessarily long, not worth that much time for 1%. The good thing is no final. We had a group project instead (mostly marked individually)

Advice

The earlier content is easier so try to do as well as you can on that. Before midterms: Go to the review sessions, reach out to TAs. If you're not gonna do anything else, I cannot stress this enough WORK THRU AND UNDERSTAND THE TUTORIAL WORKSHEETS

Comments on the course

Disgustingly dry and boring class. If you are looking for a quick GPA booster, this is not it. Extremely time consuming if you have many other courses.

Advice

Form study groups, at first I didn't, but then I went with others and it helped a bit. Also if its still open book, use ctrl +f

Awful class

Advice

Read all of the material given, and use YouTube videos for clarification, prof isn’t good at lectures and after the first couple I stopped watching the lecture videos, but I still downloaded the slides pdf. Course would have been better without the prof.
