An amazing course taught by an even more amazing prof. There are simple and short weekly writing assignments which are marked for completion. These assignments help hone you in on what the course's learning goals are, and they help guide you towards the few larger assignments of the course. This class is a great opportunity to learn how to use writing as a creative outlet, while also learning writing techniques and elements of creative non-fiction. Mandy was an excellent professor, who explained writing concepts incredibly well; not to mention her unwavering kindness and understanding, and her supportive and enthusiastic demeanor. One of the best courses I have ever taken in my undergrad, and one of the best profs I have ever had. 11/10.
