This class focuses on archaeology of the American Southwest. It focuses on many different topics, such as colour, archaeoacoustics, trade with Mesoamerica, etc. Overall, very interesting! Even if your area of interest is not in the Southwest, many of the topics and methodologies discussed are applicable to other areas as well.

This class has many required readings. Class participation is graded by asking/answering questions and volunteering to present summaries of articles. There are two papers with presentations required for each and a final term paper as well.

Dave is wonderful! He is very approachable and his style of teaching is easy to follow.
