Overall, the course is incredibly dull. Honestly, a huge waste of time. There seems to be no focus on what this class is. It appears to me that the professors only discuss what they find interesting, like beef consumption. Again, makes absolutely no sense. This is a SENIOR capstone, and attendance is mandatory; it seems awfully childish to treat seniors this way. Especially since this class is primarily composed of pre-med students, most of us have jobs in the health care field or other, more interesting roles that pertain to our field of study.
The main content of this course is developing a presentation on a scientific subject that you find interesting. But, good luck, because there is a mandatory meeting going over your topic, and they are going to change your entire subject of interest and decide to make you do something that only they want to hear about.
The professors have their moments, in truth. They are more tolerable than anything else, but it is disappointing how committed they are to taking away your project independence.
I wish I knew the course was going to be a sheep simulator. I've participated in undergraduate research, and I wish I had used it to fulfill my credit requirements. If you can do anything else to fill the requirement, do it.

If you are able to fulfill this degree requirement with any other class, you should. Complete waste of time and full of busy work. Professors try to fill class with subjects not related to course. Try to find something that will actually help you build skills.
One large project that they essentially choose for you. They "let" you choose the topic but will completely change the focus if they don't like it.
Passionate about science but very narrow minded. Just criticizes work without encouraging critical thinking. Wants you to essentially be a sheep and go through the motions. Has no concept of pre-health path even though that was the majority of her students.
I wish I knew this class was taught by professors who are not pre-health emphasized. They are both research PhD professors who assume their students will be doing what they are in 20 years and tailor the class to their narrow perspective. She designed the Med Sci major requirements and yet her class is not applicable in the slightest.
