The course content is a great basis for social work. One of the best intro classes I've taken, it covers ALL bases and answers most questions beginners will have. Very useful for beginners.
professor went off topic a lot, so a lot of info needed for quizzes was in textbook rather than class. but still was enjoyable. not many graded assignments besides quizzes and case studys', but I wouldnt say its "heavy" in anything.
Bill Owens is the kindest man I have ever met in my life. He truly has a passion for social work and loves to express it. He is very understanding, and always willing to talk things through with you.
READ TEXTBOOK FOR THIS CLASS. a lot of lecture material was not in quizzes, its all based on textbook.

easy class, only 3 application exercises and quizzes every few weeks. But all assignments and quizzes are online, plus open notes. But attendance is your biggest grade, if you miss a class and want the points for it u have to write a two page paper on the content that you missed. Forced participation too! never hard questions tho.
Development starting from prenatal to death. If you've taken psych this class is kinda just all psych related.
good guy. The only thing he was kind of harsh on was grammar errors. He takes points off for that, but everything else he was pretty lax.
The class is three hours long. But everything said in class is on PowerPoints that he shares, so don't stress over note-taking. Honestly, you dont need to pay attention for half of the class, just until discussions are starting.
