I found this class so boring. I had waited to take this class for an entire year, and I was very disappointed by it. It is basically just graphic design principles for maps. I have no interest in graphic design, so I slept through this class most of the time.

The course is basically just graphic design for maps; ordering the legend, map scale, title, etc. in a way that flows.

Prof. Goslin seems like a nice guy, but he isn't the greatest professor. He is very long-winded and often goes over class time just trying to finish his thought. Prof. Goslin is also pretty unorganized. I don't think he published a course syllabus until Week 3 or 4. He gave loose dates for assignments throughout the term; the biggest example of this being the midterm. He told the class that he would assign the midterm either in Week 7 or 8 and he hadn't decided if he was going to do it online or in-person. Then Week 7 came around and he said that he would do it next week online. Cut to Week 8, and he still hadn't published the midterm on Canvas.
