I really liked this class. If you’re studying environmental science or anthropology or sociology or anything like that I think you’ll like it.
The content was focused on human vulnerability related to geography and shared some good perspectives as well as giving you more of an insight on environmental issues and how people handle them.
The professor is awesome, he clearly cares about what he teaches and just wants you to learn. He understand some are taking it for bacc core and it’s super easy in that sense but he can really teach you something if you pay attention and participate.

Hommel said this class is new, so he's still working on the class. They are normal geography lectures with TopHat, but the content is personally not that interesting. However, Hommel is funny and engaging as a lecturer, so you should be relaxed in this class.
You learn about Human-Environment interaction. Some topics are cultural and political ecology, environmental justice, consumption, agriculture, climate biodiversity, and resources. 10 quizzes, TopHat questions about the topics every lecture, and a 50% graded story map project on a terrible website (ArcGIS)
Hommel is always engaging as a lecturer, super funny and chill. Though if you are sticking out in the crowd, then he might call you out as a joke.
This class is insanely easy, just show up and do the project. The rough draft was pass/fail so you get free percent for turning in anything. Randomly, I got 5% extra credit, so maybe you will get that, too?
