Two midterms, one paper but you need to submit multiple components of the paper before it dues, immigration interview - you need to find an immigrant and interview, have the choice to do a presentation or write a short summary (I highly recommend you do a presentation). Like another commenter said above, the first midterm class average was only 45% and I failed. I felt so upset for a week long and had a conversation with the prof. Prof said if we do much better she will drop the first midterm and put the % to the second midterm. Luckily I did a much better job on the second midterm and it was above the average. I actually hated this course. I was really excited in the beginning because the assignments actually sounded intriguing. The professor is very nice and is willing to help students, however, not a great lecturer. Lectures were boring and mediocre, making it hard to attend classes. The 1st test was not great. Format and question weights were unconventional. The class average was 45% on the 1st test. I cannot recommend this course to anyone, and it make me sad to say that.
