Comments on the course

I took this class as a bird, and if you are interested in going into physics or astrophysics, I'd recommend it. But the workload was intense due to the biweekly quizzes, assignments, weekly problems, and projects. You also had to watch online lessons before attending the week's lectures, or you wouldn't fully understand the material (these online lessons are around 45 minutes long). As someone who's not interested in pursuing physics or astrophysics, I had to put way too much work into the class. But if you're really interested in this subject, it can be rewarding.

Course Content

There were no midterms, which was nice. But the workload was intense to make up for it. She will also drop your lowest quiz and project.

Comments on the professor

Dr. Maryam Tabeshian is an amazing professor who cares deeply about her students and ensures they understand the material. Even though I'm not a physics person, she made the topics very interesting and simple to understand.

Advice

If you were taking this course as an easy bird, I'd think again. But all in all, I think the class is rewarding.

Comments on the course

Decent course with some interesting components, but overall boring and very tedious to study. The lectures were not engaging whatsoever and it was much easier to study straight from the textbook / lecture slides.

Comments on the course

Pretty decent overall. The midterm and final exam were both exceptionally easy, but the homework assignments and in-class labs were quite the chore.

Comments on the professor

Dr. Wadsley was kind of dry and not terrible approachable, but he did a good job explaining course content.
