This is the quantitative version of first year chemistry. Some of the content should be high school review. This course is much more math-heavy than CHEM 110.
Gas laws, gas mixtures, Kinetic Molecular Theory of Gases, chemical kinetics, reaction rates, reaction mechanisms, thermodynamics, calorimetry, chemical equilibrium, enthalpy + entropy, intermolecular forces, properties of mixtures, acid - base chemistry, ionic equilibrium, electrochemistry,
Professors were pretty nice.
Do the comprehension questions after each set of recorded lecture videos and make sure to get the answers during the live sessions because these questions serve as the foundation for quiz and exam questions. Tutorial questions are equally important. Make sure to take clear and organized notes as this course is content heavy and things will pile up very quickly. Lab component was pretty fun and interesting. Quizzes and timed assessments were not too bad but the final was challenging due to being longer and having some harder questions.
