Comments on the course

Insanely interesting and very engaging. Small classes and diverse content. Useful class discussions

Course Content

Mechanisms of drug function, addiction vs dependence, addiction treatments, use of different drugs during pregnancy including mental health drugs and addictive drugs. We heard also from masters students about their projects, professionals working in addiction counselling and from people recovering from addiction telling their story in first person which I found particularly impactful. All these different methods were very impactful for thinking about future career paths.

Comments on the professor

Amazing professor. Interested in her work and creates an open and inviting learning space. Interested in what students have to say and their input. Takes student input even on evaluation methods. Very smart, kind and insightful.

Advice

Only wish the lectures were recorded so I could rewatch them.
