A recap of sorts of FACC100 and 250 with added content from FACC220 and CIVE 324. Mostly just memorization of laws, legal terms, sustainability concepts, EDI, and common sense ethics.

Course Content

Laws and Regulations: different levels of regulation, overview of pertinent laws governing engineering in Quebec and Canada. Ethics, Responsibility, and Liability: established engineering ethical norms, responsibilities and liability engineers are legally bound to. Contracts: legal framework surrounding engineering contracts. EDI, Power, Privilege, and Implicit Bias: checking your own biases and privilege, fostering an EDI environment in the workplace and across the industry in general. Entrepreneurial Mindset: promoting entrepreneurship in engineering, McGill Engine. OIQ: legal framework surrounding the OIQ, applying to the OIQ, how the OIQ regulates engineering in Quebec.
