Comments on the course

This course is anything but an intro to software development or whatever they call it. The slides are taken out straight from a book from the 70s that uses an outdated Java library which is no longer incorporated in the new Java versions. Going to class is useless, he just reads the slides. The material itself is interesting but too advanced for a basic programming course. The assignments don't have anything to do with what we are learning in class. They basically designed a project to make a ball bounce using newton's laws. The project is more about figuring out the correct angles of the ball bouncing than programming it is literally a big math/physics assignment with a couple of lines of code to make the ball move. Advice

This class is not a representation of the other parts of the degree. The other classes I am taking right now directly after this course are way more useful, interesting and organized. Don't be discouraged just work hard so the GPA doesn't take a hit and move on.
