Comments on the course

Why isn't someone at IU monitoring these classes? The professor grades mid terms, finals and larger projects fair, while the power tripping assistant grades everything else very very very low and with no explanation. If you ask the assistant why they gave you a low grade she will retort with a smart mouthed answer that is so vague you cant make sense of it. The class says no prerequisites however you need to know heavy math physics calculations and extremely advanced photo shop. This class will not assist you with either of those so your on your own and believe me no one cares.

Course Content

The content is great!. I love astronomy but the teachers in the class ruined it for me. I had an MTI top rated Nobel prize winning professor tutor me and then I got graded a C or D for all of my homework that he worked with me on. Just insane.

Comments on the professor

The professor should not let her assistant grade anything!!! The assistant is power tripping and getting off on grading people low with no explanation. After the first two weeks I realized I would fail the class at the rate the assistant was going. I am an honor student with a 3.9 GPA and what I saw the assistant doing made me realize no matter how perfect the work I would turn in, she would give me a C or D. Unreal.. no explanation from her.

Advice

I wish I had read rate my professor to see all of the many identical complaints first. I would never have taken this class
