This was my first class of the day, and it always made my day so much brighter. I find it really difficult to get out of bed in the morning, especially on cold winter mornings. But I was always happy to get up for this class. Every single lecture was so well thought out, it included funny or powerful graphics. We watched videos that demonstrated the concepts we learned beautifully. Sometimes I would be so excited about what I learned in this class I would come home and teach my roommates what I learned from lecture so they could experience it too.

Cason deeply cares about his profession and that shows so much when he is teaching. He is patient with all his students and teaches with such enthusiasm that it is difficult to dislike his class, even for a second. I recommend every single student at Iowa State University take a class with Cason Murphy for two reasons. The first being you will learn a lot about theatre from a person who is so passionate about what he does. The second being you will never ever be judged in his classroom, and you will constantly be lifted up and treated with respect, even on your hardest days.
