Comments on the course

Gives a lot of busy work. Labs can be fun, but are quite time consuming, and the controllers are god awful. Overall fun class if you enjoy learning coding and need a beginning base.

Course Content

Yes, you learn how to write basic code, and how the logic of it works. C is what I would say is a beginners programming language.

Comments on the professor

He does require participation for every lecture, but they are useful questions after the end of each lecture. If you need help, he is very helpful at explaining things in an understandable way. His lectures are not too bad. For the first half he talks through a few slides with what new stuff we're learning, then writes code for the second half to show how it works, then get lecture quizzes.

Advice

This class is definitely a lot of busy work. As long as you stay ahead of the deadlines, and make sure you know when things are due, the class should feel like a breeze.
