If you have a moderate amount of background experience coding in any language, you'll be fine. If not, they throw you off the deep end a little, but its still manageable

Dr. Pierce does an excellent job and is extremely forgiving when grading exams.

The tests are all writing code by hand!

If you passed 168, 178 should be a breeze. The exams are much easier, and are mostly multiple choice. There less content to cover(compared to 168) as well, so the workload feels light.
