Comments on the course

I have not taken this class yet. I just wanted to warn you that this class is not about learning different cultures or ethnographies. It is about long distance running. Here is the description: "Human beings are uniquely suited for long distance running. This course will discuss how our unique ability to run long distances has shaped human cultures and history. "

Course Content

Gain an understanding of the significance human pedestrianism has played in culture. Beginning with cave art of people running, then traveling throughout ancient Sumeria, Greece, and the middle east, we will discuss the origins of human endurance running. We will follow these trends throughout the middle ages, and see how cultures from Asia, the Americas and Europe. Students will be expected to complete assignments each week after viewing the course material.

Comments on the professor

The professor is very nice. The title is just very misleading.
