Comments on the course

Really fun course material. It's a great successor to CS260. The course covers finite automata, computability, and runtime analysis. A very good course focusing on theory. Not much industry applicability, but very useful for Vasilis's DSA courses. Also, it's good to have a strong basis in theory. It makes you a better programmer.

Advice

Do the readings from the textbooks. The textbooks, CLRS and Spiser, are great books. They explain everything wonderfully. If you do not do the readings, you will fail the class. Even missing one will set you back a LOT.

Currently, only Long teaches this. They made the course and they are a great professor.
