You will learn A LOT in the class. Assignments are quite painful but manageable and very useful.

Prof. Connamacher is a great teacher with very clear expectations of what students have to learn to get a certain grade.
Advice
Utilize TAs, tutors, and prof's office hours!! Also, practice myProgrammingLab -- for all novice programmers it's very valuable.
