Prof: Judy Corey / Fall 2021

Dec 15, 2021

Comments on the course

The course was cool. It goes over a bunch of different topics in relation to spiritualism. The class was online and she offers lecture slides. I know some in my class did poorly because the course was somewhat self-paced, but she offers office hours and feedback for everything!

Course Content

I liked the course. I honestly was really hesitant because I am not religious and I thought it was going to be about Jesus and all that (which it was not, but also was at the same time). The course itself goes over stages of a hero's journey, Malala, and a book on concrete evidence using the empirical method to prove a Divine being.

Comments on the professor

Professor Corey was very nice and understanding. She offers feedback for literally everything. Her lecture slides are so detailed, when you take an exam (which is an essay), you can pull up the lecture slides to help you breeze right through. Everything is in chronological order for her slides which are detailed she wants in the exam. Her exams are not opinionated and solely based on facts learned throughout the course work. Overall, she is an easy-grader and understands that not everyone may experience the same reality (you cover that in the course too).

Advice

If you read the lecture slides, or don't but have them up during the essay exams or quizzes, you will be fine. I passed with a B+ and I could of had an A if I would have read the instructions fully on a quiz. The course is an easy A, and you will be fine if you want to breeze right through it.
