The professor and the TA are worse. Steve Undy has good industry experience and is highly knowledgeable but he worked on RTL design in his job and is teaching VLSI design here, and hence he does not know much about what he is teaching. We had a TA named Rohini, and she does not know to make a layout of a simple inverter in Cadence. When you ask her simple questions, she is not able to answer, and these questions can be answered by undergrad students at CSU. The professor has improved significantly but the TA still does not know anything.

The content is very useful as it is based from the CMOS VLSI Design textbook by Neil Weste.

Did not know much about the course at the beginning. but improved significantly.

Self-study is the best way to understand this course. There are a lot of materials available online that will allow you to ace this course.
