This course is awesome especially for education majors. With professor Swart we did a lot of projects (both in groups and alone), a few essays, and even in class projects and activities. The workload isn’t light or heavy but just in between because of the essays, occasional quizzes, and projects. All of the notes are based off of PowerPoints but if you miss them in class professor Swart always posted them on OAKS.

This course focused on life from birth to death. So we discussed topics all throughout that range and of course factored education into that. We learned about birth, abnormalities in birth, sudden infant death syndrome, genes and how parents and outside factors affect them, different teaching methods, etc.

Professor Swart is the best! She’s so sweet and always so understanding of everyone and their situations. If you just reach out she’ll be there to help and guide you.

Just show up to class and you’ll do great!
