Comments on the course

This class is obviously required but is also one that will help you feel like you are becoming an engineer. I took it the semester after COVID, so yeah. Some like the online/hybrid stuff but it took me to long to realize it's hard for me. That probably explains the C grade. I don't remember it being terribly difficult like other ME classes.

Course Content

This class will cover a lot of information. From steam charts to engine cycles. Its all about energy. You will use a lot of equations you already learned from things like chemistry and you will learned new ones.

Comments on the professor

I hope you take this from Dr. Webb. He is very understanding and wants you to succeed. He even allows(insists) a smartphone app on HW/tests because he is the type of Professor that know we will have access to all types of data in the real world. I got COVID in the middle of semester during the open time slot for the 2nd midterm. He was willing to let me wait and take the test until after I recovered and was feeling 100% mentally there. He also is great during office hours for asking questions and getting concepts straight. All around great guy who wants you to succeed.

Advice

I took this class a while ago but based on my not and what I remember is that his tests were very fair. They pretty much are differently worded HW questions, and it wasn't like being given a problem that was 10x more complicated than HW problems. Overall again I recommend taking it from Dr. Webb
