This is the first class I took that was set up like an internship. The training was a bit tough because we only had 2 days to learn everything so there was a lot of self-study and we only. However, most of the material is learned on the job, so I like that it was hands-on.

We had some pop quizzes base on what we did during training and what we learned while on the job. It was very useful as I learned more about my personal taxes, and now I can file not only my taxes but my friends' and families' as well.

The professor didn't do much. Most of the training and coaching was done by the Assistant teacher and the paid staff.

You have to volunteer about 1--13hrs a week; there are no exams. your grade is mostly based on how proactive you are during the internship and the taxpayer's feedback. I would recommend taking it. It's an easy 3 credits, and the class ends when tax season ends
