I'm not going to sugarcoat it; it is intense. 15 weeks' worth of content in half the time. If you do not have the discipline to start earlier than the official start date or keep up as the class progresses, do not bother.
What is due every week? -Averaging 2-3 chapters/week. Within each chapter: -3-5 videos about the chapter material. *Not mandatory for grade -1 Chapter assignment. -1 Chapter extra-credit. There are 3 exams. -2 Midterms, 1 Final. -1st midterm: -Covers materials from Chapter 1-4 (Week 1 & 2). -2nd midterm: -Covers materials from Chapters 3-5 (Week 3-5). -Final: -Covers materials from Chapters 11, 13, 14, 15, 16 (Week 6 & 7)
She is very present through the announcements. She will let you know what is due within that week.
The mathematics portion of this class is adding and subtracting. Don't get stressed over the mathematics. You don't have to be a Calculus genius to ace this class. The exams are open-book, so take notes from the videos or print off the lecture notes. Do the extra credits, although minuscule, as they do add up in the end. Best advice? - Start before the official start date. There is so much to do within the week that if you can be 1 week ahead of schedule. It would be a lot easier in the long run.
